The 11th Space Resources Roundtable meeting has been postponed until 2010. In its place for 2009, the SRR will sponsor a session at the 2009 LEAG meeting in Houston, Texas (Nov 16-19).
Details will be posted here as they become available.

The 11th Space Resources Roundtable will be held at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado, October 28th - 30th, 2009 has been postponed until 2010. In its place, the SRR will sponsor a session at the 2009 LEAG meeting in Houston, Texas (Nov 16-19).
As with previous Roundtables, a call for abstracts which add to our discussion of space resource use will be posted on this site later this year.
December, 2008
The joint SRR / LEAG / ICEUM conference was held at the Port in Cape Canaveral, Florida in October, 2008.

October, 2008
The joint SRR (10!) / LEAG / ICEUM conference will be held October 28th through 31st, 2008 at the Radisson Resort at the Port in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The deadline for submitting abstracts for the upcoming joint SRR / LEAG / ICEUM conference has been extended to August 19th!

The second announcement for the upcoming joint Space Resources Roundtable / LEAG / ICEUM conference is now available.
The announcement includes details of the meeting's purpose and scope, a call for abstracts, the preliminary meeting schedule and registration details. All of which are available for review here.

The first announcement for the upcoming joint Space Resources Roundtable / LEAG / ICEUM conference is now available.
The conference will be held in Cape Canaveral, Florida on October 28th through 31st with details available here.
March, 2008
On March 13th, a debate was held at the American Museum of Natural History's Hayden Planetarium in New York.
The topic was "Mining the Sky – The Engineering, Economics, and Ethics of Exploiting the Solar System's Natural Resources" with participants including Neil deGrasse Tyson, John Lewis of the University of Arizona and Murray Hitzman of the Colorado School of Mines.

The Eighth Continent Project was recently announced as a finalist for the International Pioneering Award of Mining Journal.

The "Lunar ISRU Demonstration Priorities Revisited" panel discussion has been closed for this year.
Discussion will resume at the next Roundtable session. See you then!

The Ninth Space Resources Roundtable was held in Golden, Colorado this past October 25th through 27th. The proceedings for that conference may be viewed by clicking here.

The "Lunar ISRU Demonstration Priorities Revisited" panel discussion is continuing in a Ning group available through this link:

The Second Lunar Geomechatronics Workshop will be held at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado on October 24th, 2007 (the day before the start of SRR IX)

December, 2006
Following from the latest Roundtable, the SRR has released a whitepaper discussing the Priorities for Demonstrating Lunar ISRU Capabilities.

November, 2006
At the 2006 board meeting of the Space Resources Roundtable Inc., the following resolution was passed to endorse The Eighth Continent Project:
"Be it resolved that, the Board of Directors of the Space Resources Roundtable, Inc., hereby endorses the establishment of The Eighth Continent(TM) Project and, in furtherance thereof, the Board agrees to provide intellectual guidance to that initiative by (a) serving as its principal organizational authority on space resource technical issues
and (b) encouraging individual Space Resources Roundtable members to volunteer to assist in its formation and operations."
